Curlipops 1 1/4" Ceramic Curling Wand | Review

Hey Hey Everybody!!
So recently I had to bite the bullet and get a new curling
wand with a bigger barrel since my hair is longer now and I don't
always have an hour + to invest in curling my hair.
I browsed the Ulta website a bit, read some reviews, and decided
this was the 1 for me...
I've used it a few times so far and figured I'd share my thoughts
with ya'll.

This is the Bed Head Curlipops 1 1/4" Curling Wand
it retails for $29.99 and can be found HERE

So... What do I think??
Well, at first glance once I got home with it I
was a little annoyed when I discovered it doesn't have
a temperature control.  My own mistake for not
inspecting it better...  Still annoying though.
It claims to heat up to 400 degrees- I'm curious how long
you have to let it marinate in order for it to reach that temp
because it definitely doesn't seem as hot as my Conair wand
that I usually use on 400... So.. There's that.

Obviously the curls are much looser with this;
which I don't mind and did expect.
But I also have found that the curls don't last all day
where as with my other wand they'll last DAYS.
Yes, days, plural... Dry shampoo is my bff.

So.  My thoughts?  I don't hate it.
I kind of wish I had just gotten the 1" though since my hair
isn't extremely long.  I am curious why the curl falls out so fast though.
Not sure if it's to do with the iron itself or the size.
I really like the style and look it gives once I've done
my whole head.

Overall- I guess I'll keep it.  I like the curl/ wave style it
gives I just wish it would last better.
While I still love my smaller Conair wand I would totally recommend
this 1 by Bed Head to someone who wants to curl quickly and run.
I think the loose wave look is super cute and "in" right now.

My Results 👇🏼

Hope this helps any of y'all in the market for a big wand! (HA)

As always feel free to leave questions in the comments below.

My Holy Grail Hair Products {Care & Styling}

Hey Y'all!
I get sooo many questions about my hair and the products that I use, so I've decided to share all of my secrets today.
My cut, color, and most loved hair care & styling products.
(The products that I use rarely change.  Most of them I've been using for years on years.)
Ps; I use a wide tooth comb.  I never use a brush and I only really comb it when it's wet after washing it.
Is that gross?  Whatevs.

As far as my color..
I have never dyed my hair.  Like ever.
I really love my natural color and am literally terrified to mess with it.
My hair has different tones and highlights on it's own and it gets more from the sun.
So...
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

For my cut/ style..
I'm really not too picky about it.
I keep it about collar bone length with tons of layers.
I like the really messy, piecey look right now- I recently learned they're referred to as "deconstructed layers".
So whenever I get a touch-up, I usually get about an inch cut off and my layers re-touched.

Now for products.
I'm going to go in order from washing, styling, etc...

I've been using the L'Oreal Power Moisture for maybe a year or so.
(They've revamped the packaging since this photo, but it's the same product.)
I like it, I don't really get any buildup from it; however, I think it almost moisturizes my hair a little too much. Lol
I'm not really complaining, my hair is soft as a baby's butt fresh out of the womb.
Given all of the torture I put my hair through, this is practically a miracle worker.

So, I got sucked into trying the new Garnier Whole Blends Line, because they were 2 for $7 at CVS and the smell was nearly orgasmic.
I got the Honey Treasures set because it's repairing which I felt better suited my hair needs at the moment, with all of the chlorine & sun exposure during Summer.
And because, well, it smells like a tiny slice of Heaven.
So far, I really really LOVE it.
You don't need much, the shampoo lathers so well, and the conditioner is super thick and goes a long way.
My psychic senses tell me I'll repurchase or at least try some of the others in the Whole Blends line.
(These are all Paraben-Free)

I have been using this Garnier leave-in conditioner since I was about 15, literally.
It's just amazing.
Legit makes my hair so soft it won't even stay up in a bun.
I apply it to my wet hair after showering- either before or after I comb my hair.
Before if it's a rat's nest. Haha
This probably isn't ideal to use on dry hair, because it's a thick cream.

Can we say holy grail?!
Never will I ever love a heat protection spray the way I love the John Frieda Heat Defeat.
I actually have a super hard time finding it these days which is traumatizing, but I have located it at Ulta!  I nearly shed a tear.
Ulta for the win!
I apply this to my wet hair, before I put in any styling products or use my blow dryer.

This John Frieda mousse is everything!
It's another love that I have been using for about 5 years.
It comes out thick, and it stays thick!
It's consistency isn't foamy like most others.  If I had to compare the consistency to something, I'd say cool whip. (Total weirdo, I know) But that's a hard quality to find in hair mousse!!
A little goes a long way, it doesn't make my hair crunchy, or dirty looking.

I use this as I am blow drying my hair.
It's super flexible, but helps build your style.
After applying my heat protectant and mousse, I begin to blow dry my hair with a diffuser.
Once my hair begins to feel slightly dry, but slightly damp, I spray my hair down with this and then continue blow drying until my hair is completely dry.

Okay..  This product right here, this right here!!!!
Game changer..  LIFE CHANGER!
I just love it.
I use this once my hair is dry, mostly on the ends of my hair but at the top also for some volume.
It gives a GORG piecey, messy look without making your hair feel powdery or dirty.
This is a product I stock pile.
I have a hard time finding it, so when I do I literally buy every single 1 the store has.
I refuse to live without it.

I first starting using this a couple summers ago for it's humidity control qualities, but now it's apart of my regular routine year round.
It doesn't make your hair stiff or hard, but it holds it incredibly well.
I use this at the very end of my styling routine just to lock everything in place.
Dearly love it.
All Garnier products have that incredible signature smell, I'm obsessed.

So, yeah, those are the keys to my secret chest of hair secrets and without them I just wouldn't be me.
Lol.
I hope you guys enjoy this post!
